Are BMW Motorrad Retailers closing?
BMW Motorrad Retailers will be closed their physical locations for the duration of the lockdown period. You can still get in touch with your retailer directly if you have any questions or queries.
Can I still buy a new BMW Motorcycle?
We recently launched BMW Motorrad which gives you the opportunity to search stock nationwide, get a trade-in estimate, apply for finance and even schedule the collection of your new motorcycle in advance – all online. Will there still be rider events?
We have postponed all upcoming Night Rides and Breakfast Runs, nationwide, until further notice. We will keep you posted on the situation and will be sure to make up for lost time with an invite to our next adventurous ride very soon!
If I have a service due during lockdown and miss it as a result, will it affect my warranty?
Out of consideration for the difficult situation associated with the Coronavirus and our concern for our customers, we are extending all Warranties and Service/Repair plans that are set to expire during the National Lockdown until 01 May, 2020. We recommend not using your motorcycle, or using it as little as possible, to avoid further wear and tear. We’ll service your motorcycle once lockdown has ended.
Does this extension also apply to parts warranty?
Yes, this extension also applies.
How do I book for a service during the National lockdown period?
Service bookings will be suspended from 26 March to 20 April 2020. If you would like to avoid the rush and schedule your service in advance, please contact your preferred BMW Motorrad Retailer or book online.
Will I still have access to roadside assistance during the National lockdown?
As an essential services provider, BMW Motorrad On Call will still be operational during the Covid-19 National Lockdown. Our technicians will tow motorcycles to the nearest Retailer or place of safety for storage until Retailers re-open. Additional mobility* will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

Can I contact BMW Financial Services during the COVID-19 lockdown period?
We would like to encourage customers to email us on email@example.com.
You can also contact us on 0800 600 555. We are however, experiencing higher than usual call volumes and request your patience and understanding during this time.
What is BMW Financial Services’ business hours during the COVID-19 lockdown period?
Working hours are still Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00.
Will I be able to take a payment holiday?
We are not offering customers a full payment holiday across the board. However, if you are directly affected by COVID-19 and you are concerned that you may not be able to meet your financial obligations, you may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and your request will be assessed based on the merits of the case.
In order for us to determine if we are able to assist, please provide us with a detailed motivation, and responses to the below questions:
- Is your BMW motorcycle insured?
- What is your current employment status?
- How has COVID-19 impacted you and your ability to work? How will this impact you financially?
- Have you approached other financial institutions for any assistance?
- How does COVID-19 impact your ability to pay the motorcycle and finance costs?
- If you are a SME, have you applied for any financial aid mentioned during the Presidential address?
My agreement is due to come to an end during the lockdown period, can I still refinance my Balloon?
I have a Select Finance agreement which is due to end soon, what are my options?
At the end of your Select agreement, you have the following options:
- Trade in your motorcycle at your nearest BMW Retailer
- Keep the motorcycle by settling the Guaranteed Future Value.
- Keep the motorcycle by refinancing the Guaranteed Future Value.
- Return your motorcycle to your nearest BMW Retailer.
Should you wish to settle in full or refinance the Guaranteed Future Value, please ensure that this is done on the date scheduled as per your Select agreement, even if it is during the lockdown, we are able to assist you remotely.
However, should you opt to return or trade in your motorcycle and your due date is during the lockdown, you will now be able to return or trade in your motorcycle within 3 business days after the end of the lockdown, at no additional cost. Please keep in mind that your current contractual km limit and motorcycle return conditions as stipulated in your agreement remain in place.
Can I get my original Natis document from you during lockdown period?
No, unfortunately we will not have access to the documentation or have facilities to send out any Natis documents during the lockdown period.
How do I update my personal details on my Agreement?

Will BMW Group Insurance be available to assist me with a Tyre claim during the COVID-19 lockdown period?
