The 80s: the time of the superbikes. The music, the fashion, the attitude to life are unforgettable. With these features, the R 12 nineT brings the decade loved by so many back into the present. The typical cockpit fairing and style-defining details such as the black Option 719 cylinder head cover and Option 719 hand lever, the short black rear end trim, including a number plate carrier, the black Option 719 footrest system and the titanium rear silencer from Akrapovič ensure the superbike look.
The comfort package makes many journeys more comfortable with heated grips and cruise control. In addition, the shift assistant Pro allows you to change gear without operating the clutch lever. Hill Start Control Pro makes it easier to start off on inclines.
The single seater adds a sporty accent to the classic look and is fitted in place of the passenger seat. The backrest pad provides greater comfort and rounds off the appealing retro design in style.
The cockpit fairing painted in Blackstorm metallic completes the retro look of the bike and reduces wind pressure. The trim panel is attached to the handlebars and has a scratch-resistant coated clear windscreen.
The black rear end trim moves the number plate carrier down behind the wheel, thus producing a short and sporty rear. The number plate carrier attached to the rear axle differential is made of black anodised aluminium. The components are homologated with the vehicle and therefore do not need to be registered.
High-end perfection: this high-quality slip-on rear silencer made of titanium with carbon end cap ensures a robust sound and sporty look. In addition, the sports silencer developed with Akrapovič is weight-optimised compared with the standard silencer.

The tyre pressure control (TPM) provides information about the current tyre pressure and informs the rider of potential dangers early on in case of pressure loss. The values can be read on the display. A yellow status light and a red warning light automatically indicate a relevant deviation from the target values while the vehicle is in motion.
With Headlight Pro, the headlights have an integrated adaptive headlight in addition to the LED light icon, which functions as a position light or daytime running light. The LED segments are switched on in addition to the low-beam headlight depending on the lean angle in order to optimise the illumination of the inside of the bend.
The unobtrusive Digital Display catapults the motorbike into the digital age. Thanks to the clear display, all information remains clearly in view – especially in the even more compact Pure Ride mode. In addition to the speed and revs, the daily distance travelled, average consumption or engine temperature can also be displayed.
With the BMW ConnectedRide Navigator, all tours and plans are always with you. Synchronise planned routes and recordings with the BMW Motorrad app through your BMW ID. You can read the 5.5-inch touch display easily, even in direct sunlight. Operation is intuitive via the multi-controller.
Tank bag, Soulfuel Collection, green, small, 5 l
The small waterproof tank bag of the Soulfuel Collection is made from recycled polyester and leather and, with 5 litres of storage space, is the perfect companion for short trips. Useful features include the cable hole, the waterproof main compartment with inner bag and the lid pocket for items that need to be to hand quickly.
Soulfuel Collection side bag, green, 10 litres + 16 litres
The waterproof side bags from the Soulfuel Collection with a volume of 10 and 16 litres are made from recycled polyester and leather. The bags latch on to the side bag holder. An outer bag with a water-repellent zip offers space for personal items. The volume can be variably adjusted using compression straps.
The stainless steel cylinder-head cover guard protects the cylinder head cover from scratches and stone chips. It is also equipped with a large rubber buffer on the inside. Visually, the cylinder-head cover guard is perfectly matched to the design and lines of the boxer engine.
